Let Me Create A Memorable Tribute To Your Loved One

I believe in working closely with families to provide a farewell that will leave all those present feeling that they knew your loved one well.
Together we will create a ceremony that will be a beautiful tribute, share precious memories and reflect the personality of the person we are saying goodbye to. It is important to me that the family or loved ones play an important role in how the farewell is crafted, and I will work with you (and your funeral director) to ensure your wishes are paramount.
With more and more families opting for direct cremation, if a traditional funeral is not what you're after, I can tailor a beautiful memorial service which can be as personal or as elaborate as you wish.
As a Funeral Celebrant I am particularly interested in working with people suffering from terminal illnesses, and their families, to assist in planning for the inevitable. Having lost my husband to brain cancer I can bring empathy and understanding to a difficult situation. I know how stressful the role of carer can be and that organising a funeral is the last thing you'll feel like doing when the time comes.
Let me help you make these decisions while your loved one is still alive, either in consultation with them (I know that sometimes someone in this situation does not want to talk about the end, whereas others want to be fully involved), or alone with you and other family members.
I can also advise on the practicalities; such as ensuring things like an Advance Health Directive and Powers of Attorney and Guardianship are in place.
I speak fluent French and while I have not yet conducted an entire ceremony in French I can certainly incorporate French language into the service (especially if it's being live-streamed), and recently conducted a completely bi-lingual funeral service. I am also happy to conduct the initial interview with your family in French, and can be a liaison between native French speakers with limited English and Funeral Directors and others they may need to interact with.
When I was looking for a celebrant for my husband's funeral, I received quite a lot of luke-warm or negative feedback regarding special touches being discouraged, and a lack of research into the nature and personality of that special person in their lives.
In choosing Di Ingelse as Celebrant, his funeral became a wonderful tribute to our much loved husband and father.
During this sorrowful and stressful time Di gave us empathy and understanding, particularly when I made alterations for at least the tenth time. She was not frustrated, but supportive, and continued to make insightful suggestions which resulted in a wonderful and personal ceremony. I received many positive comments such as '"One of the best funerals I have attended and I have attended many!"
My advice to anyone wanting a funeral that honours their loved one in an uplifting funeral ceremony, talk to Di. I am so glad I did! ~ Steph W
We were really happy with how the service turned out. I think you did an amazing job - very personal and personable - it felt like you had known our family for a long time. Very professional.
Thanks again Di, I'd have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone looking for a lady who can really rock a pair of purple tights and make the family feel comfortable and supported. ~ Steph McK
We were lucky enough to have Di commemorate my nan for her memorial after her passing. My family and I could not have been more grateful for the care and loving nature we received from Di. Di made us feel comfortable to be able to share my nan’s life and ensure everyone knew just how cherished she was. We truly appreciate all the time and effort Di put into making sure we were happy with the service and ensuring it was special for us. Thank you Di ~ Jess
Di, I just wanted to thank you from my heart for putting together such a beautiful ceremony on Deanne's day of burial as I know she would have just loved it. The feedback from others was quite amazing as everyone thought the ceremony was the best they have ever witnessed, so thanks again from us all. In the future when services like yours are needed, you will be my recommendation to all. ~ Keith
I have no hesitation in recommending Di as a Funeral Celebrant. She is compassionate, caring and had spent considerable time finding out about the person who’s life we were celebrating, as there is only one chance to honour the deceased. Di was well prepared, had a good working relationship with the crematorium and was thoroughly professional without being officious. I got the impression that Di considered her role as a great honour and this only enhanced the positive experience we had at a difficult time. Without hesitation I can recommend Di Inglese as a Funeral Celebrant. ~ Kay C.

Thanks for your lovely words on Friday. I think the day went very well and we had a lot of compliments about the service. I think Mum would've been very proud and happy with how things went. It was lovely to meet you, and thanks so much for all your help and advice. ~ Michelle
Dear Di, thank you so much coming to our rescue and being a very kind caring celebrant at my sister's funeral. Without you it would have been a disaster and she would not have got the farewell she so much deserved. ~ Victoria
