I qualified as a Celebrant because I wanted to be able to help families honour their loved ones’ lives with a fitting Funeral or Memorial Service. There is nothing more satisfying than being told that the person whose funeral you have crafted, would have been proud to hear it.
A Funeral or Memorial serves many functions:
It enables someone’s story to be told with dignity.
It provides family and friends with the opportunity to celebrate a life and share their memories.
It can also help in the grieving process as it provides a final ceremony of closure for family and friends.
As a teacher, writing and presenting is something that I do every day. Creating a Funeral or Memorial Service and crafting a eulogy based on stories and memories shared by friends and family, is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a loved one.
I will work with you to create a service which meets your needs and enables you to celebrate a life lived and to mourn someone you will miss.
I am currently working in a school and therefore available for Funerals and Memorials outside school hours (evenings, weekends and during school holidays).
Please call me if you would like to talk through what is important to you.
