I have over 45 years' experience as a radio and TV host and Master of Ceremonies.

I am a Funeral Celebrant in the Illawarra region.

Where did they go, the years of my life, The laughter and tears, troubles and strife. Schoolyard games, fairy floss and friends, School exams and new fashion trends.

Then courting and girls, the days of my teens, Marriage and mortgages and kids in between. Parenthood, mayhem and so little time. But oh, how I loved them, this family of mine.

Before I knew it I was in middle age. The father and husband and wise family sage. Teens of my own brought me to my knees, “And by the way Dad, can I have the car keys?”

Then joy of joys, the grandchildren came, Life after that was never the same. I loved them, spoilt them. I admit to that, And at the end of the day……I handed them back.

And before I knew it old age had its way. I ached in the places where I used to play. My memory faded, my energy sapped, And everyone sniggered at my afternoon naps.

And now it is over this journey of mine, The great umpire of life has blown full time. I’ve tried to be kind, caring and dutiful, And to those whom I loved………….it really was beautiful
