Hello, I’m Cheryl McKenzie, a Brisbane Funeral Celebrant, supporting families across Moreton Bay Region, Brisbane and the northern suburbs during one of life’s most tender moments. When someone we love dies, the days that follow can feel overwhelming. There is so much to navigate the grief, the practical arrangements, the memories, and the desire to do justice to a life that mattered deeply. My role is to walk gently beside you and help shape a ceremony that honours your person with sincerity, warmth, and care. Whether you are planning a traditional funeral, a non-religious service, or a celebration of life, I will work closely with you to create something truly personal. No scripts. No clichés. Just meaningful moments that reflect their story, their spirit, and the legacy they leave behind. Families often tell me they simply want the service to “feel right.” My approach is calm, thoughtful, and deeply respectful. I listen carefully, gather the memories that matter most, and craft words that honour both the life lived and the love that remains. I also have a deep understanding of ceremony and ritual, which allows families to include meaningful symbolic elements if they wish — small moments within the service that help people reflect, remember, and say goodbye in a way that feels genuine and healing. It is a privilege to stand beside families during these sacred times, not as a stranger reciting facts, but as someone who genuinely cares about helping you farewell your loved one with dignity and heart. Together, we will create a service that feels true, for them, and for you.

So as you journey, rest, and roam,

Though we’ll miss your jokes, your laugh, your cheer,
