One of the things that led me to become a Funeral Celebrant was losing my father suddenly to cancer in 2003. My family took great comfort and positive memories from his Funeral Service, which we thought was quite beautiful. I trained as a celebrant in 2005, became registered in 2007 and since then I have had the honour and privilege of conducting hundreds of Marriage Ceremonies, Baby Namings and Funerals. My aim is to work with the family to write a beautiful, dignified and meaningful farewell for their loved one and create a celebration of their life. I want to provide a little ray of sunshine in an otherwise heartbreaking and dismal day, leaving the family with special memories and positive thoughts. My ceremonies are non-religious, however, I'm certainly happy for family members and friends to share religious readings.
~~~~~ On behalf of Audrey’s family, friends and admirers, we would like to thank you sincerely for the truly wonderful, compassionate and informative manner in which you conducted, as Celebrant, Audrey’s funeral yesterday. We know that it is important to say goodbye to one’s loved ones with all the dignity and compassion that befits the occasion and, in this regard, you truly exceeded our expectations, making the whole service truly memorable for those who attended and those who watched it live-streamed to the world. Everyone commented on your lovely demeanour and touching approach. ~ Denise & Diane ~~~~~
