Need to plan a funeral service and don’t know where to start? You are not alone. The process is easier if the deceased shared their funeral wishes with their next of kin.
Choices include burial, cremation (fire or water), natural burial and donating your body to science, for example. Then there are service and location choices – funeral, memorial or no service, and locations such as a community hall, sporting club, beach, surf club, private property, park lands, riverside through to the more traditional chapel or cemetery.
As Funeral Celebrants we understand that each individual or family has a different starting point when it comes to organising a funeral service. For some, it will be the first time and a very daunting task; for others, you may have organised and attended many funeral services.
Whatever your starting point, our professional and experienced Funeral Celebrant members are here to guide you and answer your questions – there is no such thing as a simple or silly question!
Funeral services can be a celebration of life; they may include tributes, eulogies, readings, music, art, rituals; they may be held in chapels, public halls, private homes, parks and other locations.
