2008’s Forums and activities
At our first forum in February 2008, the President of the AFDA, Stephen Kellaway, addressed the forum on the topic of
funeral directors’expectations of celebrants.

In May 2008, well known Funeral Celebrant and Trainer, Maggie Ramsay, addressed the forum
on the topic of "Writing a Funeral Service." Members found her talk interesting, entertaining and
informative.

In August the forum was addressed by a panel of experienced funeral conductors and arrangers, Angela and David Lane,
and Dianne Lucitti and Scott Rennie, of Elite Funerals. Members were able to listen to, and ask questions of, those at the "coal face"of the industry.

October 2009  members visited Macquarie Park Cemetery & Crematorium for a behind the scenes visit hosted by Tom Sweeney

Tues 25 November - Words and Music for funerals - presenter Melissa Abraham.  It was an entertaining,
formative and inspirational evening.
